Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Welcome to Artifakt. Our website address is: https://artifakt.io.

Artifakt is a cloud-native platform that provides scalable infrastructure and deployment tools for modern web applications.

2. Comments

When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect and prevent spam.

An anonymized hash of your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible alongside your comment.

3. Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from images hosted on the site.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience and provide site functionality.

Here’s how we use cookies:

  • If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These will last for one year.
  • A temporary cookie is set when you visit the login page to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we set cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences:
    • Login cookies last for two days.
    • Screen option cookies last for one year.
    • Selecting “Remember Me” extends login cookies to two weeks.
  • If you log out of your account, login cookies will be removed.
  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser, which contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

5. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.).

Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These external sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content — including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged into that website.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security purposes.

7. How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

This is so we can recognize and automatically approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if applicable), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile.

All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

8. What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you have the right to request:

  • A copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • The deletion of any personal data we hold about you (excluding any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes)

To make such a request, please contact us at: [email protected].

9. Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
